Welcome to the City of Troy Police Department’s home page.  The police department currently employs 18 sworn police officers and 6 civilian personnel. The department is headed by Chief Robert A. Rizzi, Jr. , who has 28 years of law enforcement experience.

Our Mission: is to protect the citizens of Troy and their guests from unlawful actions against them to the best of our ability. To enforce the laws of the State of Illinois and the City of Troy in a fair and equal manner without prejudice or malice. To serve the people of Troy in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner, and to act as a conservator of the public peace.

We are very proud of our D.A.R.E. program as well as the youth Police Explorer program, Explorer Post #9104. We encourage you to visit the links for additional information.
